A personal journey through depression and love

This is a site for a personal journey of a man in his forties, when he was half his age, serving national service as a soldier.
It was the time of depression and gloom, when his country faced economic depression, and he faced the grim prospects of unemployment, having failed time and again, his high school examinations. His future looked bleak, and he wasn't getting a lot of economic or motivational support from his family, and he kept getting his nose bruised by relationships.
The book, "Private Window 1984: Confessions of a Depressed Soldier", is about this journey. The man? Dr Seamus Phan. Although the book detailed his depressing journey as a young man, his time with the army served him well to mould him to brave through his later day challenges. Today, he is a successful and respected scholar, professional speaker, motivator, coach, bestselling author, and naturopathic philosopher.
Because this book is so personal, Seamus does not believe the book will be a runaway success, and so he chose to self-publish with Lulu.com, one of Internet's most wondrous places for small-time authors such as Seamus to express himself without getting ridiculed by publishers, or having to incur hefty upfront investments. Great for experimental works such as this.
